Hey there everyone, it's Kat! I just turned 24 years old, its kinda scary. I cannot believe I have been out of high school for 5 1/2 years now. Blows my mind. I'm single and discovering the young woman that I am becoming. I try to enjoy every moment and squeeze every last drop of happiness out of everyday. I have the best friends a girl could ask for and a loving family that is always here for me. I am so very blessed. I thank God each and everyday for the people he has brought into my life and the lessons he has placed before me over time. I have become a very strong independent woman because of the obstacles and experiences I have been faced with. I know right from wrong which is more than I can say for a lot of people now days. I like to surround myself with well educated, kind, strong, loving, nonjudgmental, beautiful spirited people. I consider myself all of those things. I enjoy the simple things in life. I am not materialistic(anymore), but I do like to have nice things. I don't have to have the best or the most expensive things to make me happy. Things are just that, THINGS. I love photos for they are capturing a memory and freezing it, to be looked upon for as long as you want to. I am working very hard on being very dedicated to accomplishing my goals: career, house, and seeing the world. I love to experience new and intriguing aspects of life. I love learning. Its strange because I was not much for school, but now I feel like I can't learn or know enough. I'm constantly asking questions and doing my own research on things I don't understand or want to know more about. I feel that emotionally and intellectually I have came so far in the last few years. I am very proud of the person I am and the friends and family that I have. I am not much for the party or bar scene anymore, which used to be my life. There are far too many things in life that are more important. Don't get me wrong, I like to go out and have a good time with my favorite people and get wild, but mostly now just for special occasions [birthdays, holidays]. Everyday is a blessing and I don't want to waste life by taking it for granted. Nor do I want to be around people who do. I hope someday to find someone (my penguin hehe) to share my life and interests with. I cannot wait to find the love of my life but all in good time. Love is not a race.

Someone who is capable of talking about absolutely nothing for hours yet can still keep the conversation oh-so-interesting. No dumb asses please, but smart asses are encouraged. Someone not too embarassed to act like a 4 year old in public but can handle situations which require maturity, maturely. Someone reliable & trustworthy & a helluva lotta fun!

I don't watch t.v very much, but I like Family Guy, That 70's Show, Greys Anatomy, The Simpsons, I also like TLC, Discovery, Travel Channel, Animal Planet. Like I said I don't watch t.v. a lot. This is due to the fact that I would rather be outside doing things instead of being couped up inside. Life is too short to watch too much garbage!

First dates I find to be really hard. If its someone who you have not spent a lot of time with I think dinner is good so that way you can talk and get to know the person. I would have to say that I enjoy a great meal, at a great restaurant with great company. I am not a big fan of the movie theater and I think it is terrible for first dates because how can you get to know if you like the person? I think that a great first date would be a date that feels like you're not even on a date. Laid back, either golfing or at a bonfire, just having a few drinks and getting to know each other. I like to be treated well but I am not the type of girl who likes to be doted on. I mean, its nice, but to an extent. I feel uncomfortable if I am the focus of attention.
