To a child, everything is new and exciting which is how I like to approach life. Each day is full of opportunity and I can't wait to learn from every encounter and experience new things. I have been blessed and I truly love being able to give back to my community. My long term goal is to become an educator on the college level. Still waters run deep, which is an apt description of who I am - quiet and shy, but passionate about life and what I love! My musical tastes range from gospel to reggae to Garth Brooks. But old school and neo soul singers like Al Green, Donny Hathaway and Anthony Hamilton are my favorites.

Tucked away between the towering cranes at the Port is a lovely park with an amazing view of the City that is rare jewel. Meeting at the monument in the middle of the plaza, we walk along the newly built trail, taking in the sights and enjoying the fresh breeze off the Bay. My legs are long and my stride is naturally brisk, but he keeps up easily. We talk about life, politics, sports (Go Bears!) and anything that comes to mind. The conversation is so engrossing we don't notice the time until the lights come on in the parking lot. Realizing all that chatting has made us hungry, we head downtown for a bite. Dinner is full of easy conversation and laughs now that we are comfortable enough to clown each other. A DJ sets up while we are eating. Looking at each other, we shrug and figure why not? After cutting the rug, the evening winds down. A day well spent!
