Ever walk into a grocery store ...as you reach out for your favorite vegetable ... a hand touches yours ...and you look up gazing into the most beautiful eyes ... you walk out together hand in hand ... lost in each others conversation as the hours pass by ...

Me neither ... guess that's why I'm here ;)

I want travel , I want family, I want a best friend, I want a true partner in living. That would complete me. I guess that's what I'm looking for . I think ultimately , we all seek happiness, just everyone has a different threshold for what happiness is.

Fairness is knowing what you want, what you can offer, what you expect in return.

Compatability is the stuff in between, its the " tock" that follows the "tick" ...after that ... it all goes like clockwork :)


It's hard to condense 39 years into a couple paragraphs , but here I am in a nutshell. I'm unique , I don't follow trends and patterns, I think outside of the box. My glass isn't half full , it isn't half empty ... look at it ... its half a glass. It's neither full nor empty.

I like to travel , this spring break was Cuba , and then a short adventure to Algonquin Park trying to see if I could freeze to death before catching a too-small-to-keep trout. Unsure where the next break will take me , I haven't got there yet.

I enjoying playing music , and play a variety of instruments ... not necessarily great at them , no yearning desire to drop my job and go touring , but its a fun hobby and it would be huge points if you also played an instrument.

I have a young daughter from a previous engagement , although it isn't joint custody - we tend to spend a lot of time together. She is a large part of my life.
I dislike the phrase " I'm not looking for a (mother/father)" because regardless, if we are to become a team , then its all inclusive. But, dating isn't a team , its dating. Single mothers I think will understand this easiest , yes a helping hand is nice , but for the moment you are a friend - please treat it as such.

I enjoy going out to small pubs , quiet dinners , long walks , nature paths , historic sights , and wandering in general.

It would be easier dealing with someone in the same situation as myself, someone who can understand the difficulties in going out regularly at this point in life. I have my daughter each weekend. While I don't mind the occassional sitter, I only see her weekends, and don't like passing the opportunity to be with her.

Week nights, something casual , a coffee or a drink , something casual and light.

Weekends are trickier having a 1 1/2yo at my side ... a play date for the kids? LOL
