Like most people I enjoy movies, but I can be a bit of a movie snob sometimes. I'm much more interested in independent films, than the big budget Hollywood movies.
I also enjoy TV, I currently watch too much of it, I'd much rather spend that time hanging out with a cool chick.
More than anything I like music, my tastes run the gamut as far as genres are concerned but most of the stuff I'm into isn't all too popular. That being said, I have been known to listen to the Spin Doctors.
I read, but not as much as I used to or should.
I am one semester away from a degree in English Literature, I plan I finishing it, as soon as I figure out what I want to do with a degree in English Literature.

I'm generally try to be a fairly upbeat guy, it's not always easy but I try to look for the brighter side of things. Of course, I've also been know to be very sarcastic and bitter if caught at the wrong time, but I try to at least cut down the bitterness if I can.
Humor is important too, I tend to lean to the darker and stranger side of comedy, but do enjoy a good pun when I hear one.

Wow, I never thought I could write that much about myself. I didn't really like it too much.

Anyways...

It seems like most of my friends have left Buffalo, which has left me with little chances to go out and meet new people. I guess that's why I'm posting this here. I'm very much not into the bar/club scene and would much rather get the chance to deal with a girl in a way that I could actually get to know her.

As far as a first date goes, I think a meal would be nice, or maybe coffee, or even just a walk, anything that affords the opportunity to talk and actually get to know each other.
