About Me
Hi! My name is Tony, and I hope to find a woman who shares my desire to build a relationship based on friendship and mutual respect, leading to romance, a woman who believes in the joy of life, thinks for herself, and doesn't mind being treated like a lady.
My personality is outgoing, friendly, and informal. I'm not shy, view life with a sense of humor, and try to interact with people positively and accept them for who they are.
I am a retired chef, now a musician actively gigging with a number of groups in the Metroplex area. I listen to a variety of music, from rock to blues to country to alternative, as well as classical music and old school jazz. My other interests include reading, movies (I have hundreds of DVD's), and cooking.
I don't care for controlling type people, and work hard to expunge these tendencies in myself. I believe in accepting people as they are, not in manipulating or changing them to suit our personal needs or desires. We can all try to improve as people, but only within the framework of who and what we are.
Creativity, spontaneity, and a positive attitude are things I value highly. Sometimes we confuse honesty with frankness and speaking our minds no matter how hurtful the comments. I hold truthfulness and honorable intent much higher than what we think of as honesty.

First Date
Our first encounter could be in a public place for coffee and conversation, or perhaps dinner. A casual, informal atmosphere would be ideal, somewhere where we could get to know each other better without too much external distraction. I believe the first date should focus on learning more about who we are and what we are looking for, our expectations, and background. A mutually agreed upon location and activity that provides a safe, relaxed, comfortable mood would be ideal.
