Solid, grounded female looking for same in a partner. I enjoy a variety of interests and am always willing to learn, or do new things. I am educated, well-traveled and have a great circle of friends and family. As a single mother, I have taken my time to get my life to a place of peace and comfort for both myself and my young daughter. Many of my interests center around my career, as I am a teacher and love what I do! (most especially June, July and August!!) I have traveled widely in the past and hope to do more in the future. Besides travel, I enjoy photography, reading, art, children, animals, working around my home, shopping, days at the beach with my daughter and friends, evenings out as well as evenings in, dining, communicating with others and living life to the fullest.

In describing myself, I am somewhat conservative, though I love to laugh and have a somewhat sarcastic nature. I laugh easily and enjoy a quick sense of humor. I've learned that life is too short to take each moment so seriously! I love to converse with others and find people fascinating, whether engaging in conversation or just people watching. Hmmm . . . music . . . I will listen to pretty much anything with the exeption of rap and heavy metal.

Personality? I am both an extrovert and an introvert, depending on the situation and the mood. I have a quick wit, quick smile, short (Irish) temper and a big heart. :) I enjoy being with others, as much as I enjoy the peace and solitude of my own space. Like many, I am a graduate of the school of hard knocks and would like to say that I have learned much, regretted little and come out ahead with a clearer vision of myself, my life and my future.

Hmmm. . .a first date . . .these always seem to be a dreaded event, but I am quick to converse with most anyone and generally can ease into a comfortable date.
Grabbing a cup of coffee and conversation is a good way to start when meeting someone for the first time.
