I have recently moved downtown to be closer to work, friends, and my hobbies. I teach 6th grade and love what I do. I also participate in a roller derby recreational league and take bellydancing lessons. I am down to earth, and enjoy living a drama-free, relatively uncomplicated existence. I am definitely a goof, but I am responsible and know how and when to be serious. I don't need someone to pay my bills. I am happy living a simple life not having to worry where my next meal is going to come from, and cruising around in my little Toyota that I love and will continue to drive until it's just no longer possible. But I am also not looking to support someone else. Education is important to me. I have my own education and my career in place, and I know I am where I am supposed to be in life. I can go from hiking boots to heels in 2 seconds...although I will always prefer the hiking boots : ) I do have a sense of humor, and know how to laugh at myself. That is an important quality I look for in someone else, as well as honesty, respect, and the ability to compromise. I like cooking dinner and watching a movie as much as enjoying a good conversation at a wine bar or strolling through a museum or park. I am not in to night clubs and loud, dirty, smokey places. I like hiking, camping, roller skating, fine dining, poolside lounging, napping, reading, and cheering on the Bayou City Bosses or whichever hockey team I prefer at the moment lol. My music taste ranges from classical to classic rock/hard rock/alternative and a few things in between. I could go on, but then what we would talk about on the first "meeting"?
