Kind (the interesting yet very nice kind), refined, energetic . Looking for the one with whom to share art, theatre, philanthropy, music, sailing, the world of ideas, politics, travel - all the beautiful things life has to offer. I walk the earth gently, of the mind that I am meant to give something back, and trust that you do, too. I'm opinionated, yet remarkably open-minded; I'm told that I'm charming even when I disagree with you. I'm curious and learn at least one thing from every person and circumstance I meet. I love to travel, especially to Southeast Asia, or anywhere I can snorkel. Or just about anywhere in good company. I am a voracious reader of literary fiction, with more than a sprinkling of finance thrown in. I feel fortunate that my almost grown daughters (and their friends) still want to hang out and talk with me. I am a grown-up, who also really enjoys a good belly laugh. A great first date (fantasy, here, but it's a nice one, so read on, please...): Painless. Absolutely painless. Well, maybe just the tiniest bit of butterflies in the stomache... You take my breath away (seems I'm having the same effect on you), we talk easily and effortlessly; the quiet moments are nice, too. We've written, spoken before date one, so by the time we meet we've each decided it's worthwhile to spend some time getting to know one another.
