I love going out for sushi, salsa dancing, watching a good movie at a theater or at home, sharing a cup of coffee with some good conversation, going to the cottage for a weekend, and games nights with friends.

I love music and will listen to Billy Joel one day and Led Zeppelin another (and don't forget Salsa).

I love my 18 month old daughter, she is my first priority. I also adore my dog Nina. I am an animal lover and can be a bit annoying with my take on animal rights (a civilized society is measured by how they treat the most vulnerable among them).

I always try to have a book on the go, but it takes me a while to get through them, as my schedule tends to be pretty hectic.

I prefer to stay active doing activities that are fun (as opposed to the gym regime - that's why I took up Salsa and made it an obsession), I also enjoy golfing and am always open to trying new and fun ways to stay in shape.

I don't really have time for the dating scene (nor do I enjoy the bar/club scene anymore) and am hoping to meet an attractive, intelligent, low maintenance guy who is spiritual without being religious(and I'm a bit of a sucker for a man with a broad back and shoulders).

I'd prefer to connect on a friends first basis and see where it takes us. That doesn't mean I want to chat on the internet or even on the phone for days and weeks on end. Believe me, that can only lead to disaster...

P.S. Really don't enjoy profile pics with sunglasses (it's almost like having no pic at all), and also don't like the whole "I'm keeping it short"..."I don't know what to say". Part of the appeal of internet dating is reading about who you are, if there's almost nothing in your box, I'll probably move on...

I think a first date is all about connection. So what we're doing is the least important part of the date, and going for coffee seems to be the least distracting way to really connect and get to know one another.
