I choose to be a simple person, and my life is in truth very simple. You can see my interests in the interest section...duh. I appreciate the arts, and always strive to be a better person. Boredom is my biggest enemy, and I try hard to keep myself busy.

I love most any music, though admit classical, punk, and metal to be my favorites. I'll watch almost any movie, at least once. I love to read-Heinlein and Herbert are my two favorite authors. I don't watch television, but watch alot of movies and anime on DVD. I write a lot, though nothing you'd probably enjoy reading. I go to the theater pretty regularly-often a couple of times a week.

As far as me, I'm polite, very honest, and caring. I have a varying sense of humor. Sometimes I can be smart, sometimes goofy. Just depends on the mood. Regardless of the mood I tend to be unfailingly polite. I just dont have a mean spirited bone in my body. I do not take myself seriously, and you probably shouldn't either. In fact, I think most people take themselves too seriously. I work very hard...You'll hear people say they work their fingers to the bone? Well, I have, and probably will again.

I enjoy listening to Van Morrison on a peaceful evening playing a game of chess. I like flying through the country with the top down and Metallica playing loud. I'm at peace sitting quietly, listening to the water lap at shore. I am happy to be gliding down the road, the wind in my face and the sounds of the engine in my ears. Taking a corner using the brakes to shift the weight of the car to the front so it digs in to get around the cone is a thrill to me.

I have talents and skills. I can fix anything, given the proper tools. I enjoy working on my bike, vehicles, or anything really. 3 things I couldn't live without are a pen, notebook, and camera. I'm an intellectual that isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. I don't watch any sports, and the only one I've ever really gotten into was martial arts.

I tend to be a thinker. I think about any and everything. I've got lots of varied interests, from the mundane to the bizarre, so I know a little bit about everything. I'm very honest and trusting, probably to a fault. I also tend to treat people much better than they do me. I have dreams and desires that extend to far off places. One day I hope to travel the world, to hear foreign languages, taste exotic foods, and see the world far away from my front door.

I prefer to go with the flow...it's difficult to make plans...But one of the best first dates I ever had was very simple...We went to eat breakfast at about 4am, then to the lake and talked while we watched the sun rise. After, we walked along the shore and just talked about everything, getting to know one another.

The ideal first date for me is something romantic, but taking plenty of time to get to know the other person. I prefer quieter, low-key settings like parks. Just meeting in a quiet place to walk around and talk is wonderful.
