Hello to all the great men out there! (if any of you still exist :)

Online dating. Hm, okay. Well I guess if I want to get back out there and meet someone, this is worth a try. Beats looking for someone at a bar! I have to say, I've never explained myself to a computer before. So, here goes my attempt at describing myself, my needs, and my interests. To any of you men who want to know more, just ask. ABOUT ME: First things first, I'm independent. I haven't needed to rely on anyone for many years now. I work hard, and to show for it, I have pretty much anything I need in life. To some that may sound spoiled, but nothing is given to me, I provide it for myself! My son and daughter are both grown, 22 and 25, both live close by. I see them often and they are very important to me. I have lived in my apartment for 20 years, I'm close with many of my neighbors, and we get together regularly for birthdays, barbecues, etc... I take good care of myself! I'm a nails done, hair done, well-dressed lady. To any of you who ends up taking me out on a date, I will be astonishing at your arm! I own both a fat cat and a skinny cat, but love all animals, dogs included. I'm a baseball fan... a CUBS fan! If you are a Sox fan, beware, but I'm willing to look past it for the right guy.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR: Well, in general, I enjoy life and love to experience new things. Basically, if you have a major interest that isn't listed here as one of my interests, that's okay. I'm open to new things, given the right person is there to show me the way. Most importantly, I like a guy who can make me laugh. I like a guy that isn't in to drama and games. I like a guy who understands we all have faults, and can accept me for the wonderful things I have to offer as well as the not-so-wonderful things :)

WHAT I LIKE TO DO: I love all types of music, I enjoy movies, theater, museums, fests- outdoors or indoors, both are great. Summer is definitely my favorite time of year. I love being in the sun! However, the fact that it's fall won't keep me from being outdoors. I would love to meet up for some apple picking, a hayride, or even a drive in the country, where we can see the leaves take on fall colors. Do you have other ideas? I'm open. I also love to travel. I spent a few months in the Dominican Republic this summer, but a short weekend getaway can be great as well. There's a great big world out there, and I'd like to explore all of it, eventually.
