Hey, I'm a down-to-earth, fun-loving Glaswegian now staying in Stockbridge. I've been in Edinburgh a couple of years now but am still looking to meet new people and see more of the city. The Edinburgh festival is coming up and I'd love to meet someone to go see some shows with.

I like going out to bars, the cinema and to gigs as well as doing various sports like football, squash and cycling. I recently climbed a couple of munros and plan to do more - but only when the weather is nicer! Generally I live life with a positive attitude and try to have a good laugh or at least learn something everyday.

I'd like to meet someone who will surprise me and doesn't take life too seriously. Someone who is cultured, smart and cool but won't get too embarrassed if we go out and I dance like an idiot.

I'm really into music and like so much stuff that its an expensive hobby to keep! Just now I'm loving the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, Florence and the Machine, Beirut, Bombay Bicycle Club, We Are Scientists, Ben Folds, Regina Spektor, Cold War Kids and Laura Marling to name a few.

I'm big into movies too but will admit now that I mostly like comedies. I like to be entertained and not to come out sadder than when I went in! My favourites include Rushmore, Anchorman, The Science of Sleep, Stranger than Fiction, Little Miss Sunshine, Amelie, Being John Malkovich, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and almost anything that stars Steve Martin or Bill Murray.

At the moment I'm also trying to learn the guitar and to speak Italian. That said, don't ask me to play you a song or to talk in Italian because I'm still rubbish at both!
