I love camping, even though I don't do it often. Something about chopping wood with an axe is exciting. Um, yea... I realize that statement might sound a little creepy. Don't get spooked. I like normal stuff, too -- like Scrabble. And chess is fun. Sudoku is addictive. The Rubik's Cube is the greatest invention EVER. I find true crime fascinating (not committing them). Xtreme sports rock. Beluga whales are freakin cute. My music taste ranges from NYHC to classical. I like things that glow in the dark. I'm not sure who's cooler: poker players or pool players. If you do both well, you're awesome. If you can also hold a conversation on the epistemological foundations of phenomenology, you're divine (and hyper-analytical like me. Or maybe we're just pretentious. lol). Creators (musicians, artists, etc.) trump all. My kids are disturbingly amazing. I kick ass as a mom (not literally.) Even if it's just hereditary, it doesn't matter because I am taking credit for it either way. I am pop-culture challenged so it's probably best that you don't mind educating me. Speaking of educating, I am looking for someone who can be both a mentor and a mentee (is that a word?) Shared interests are good and all but I like the idea that we could expand each other's worlds.

I'm looking for a guy with issues (or more accurately, a guy who knows he has and can admit to having issues). No one is perfect so as long as you're on an improvement track, I'll deal with your flaws if you'll deal with mine (warning: that might not be a fair trade. lol. j/k. i'm not messed up (much)). Compassion is a characteristic I value equally as highly as a sense of humor.

Appearance is not important. Just be hot. And chronically adorable. Hehehe. If you have to use objective standards to figure out if you are, then you're probably not.

My favorite poems are "If" by Rudyard Kipling and "The Invitation" by Oriah Mountain Dreamer. My favorite book is The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry... so yes, I have a sensitive, emotional, romantic, corny side. My favorite movie keeps changing. Right now, I am fantasizing that I am Uma Thurman in Kill Bill. I believe Judd Apatow movies must be watched in an altered state of mind.

Let's see. What else? I am a humor lubricant due to my broken internal filter. I suck at analogies. Been told I'm hopeless.

Fun is always a good choice for a first date -- which, with me, as you'll discover, is not really a choice at all but rather, inevitable. LOL. Yea, that's right. Bar, coffee, park bench, bowling (must be bumper bowling, though), aimless wandering, toeing the line (um...what line?), other stuff, other things, whatever, all of the above.

Not interested in meeting serial killers (unless you're looking for legal representation -- Wait. Not a solicitation for serial killers) so a public place is a must.
