I stepped onto the cold, wet sand and fell into the unknown.

The third largest island in the world is a place where a simple night sky crushes a human into insignificance with its abysmal depths and glittering brilliance. Simply looking upward into that high and vast basaltic slab causes the breath to fall from a man’s lungs and his heart to stop dead from vertigo.

I stand on the edge of the world, one foot in the ocean and one foot on the mountain, watching the universe rain and spitfire through me, one hand stirring the heavens and the other hand pumping blood through your heart.

That's me.

I have been to the most remote places on the planet, alone and with someone. I miss sharing the universe with someone special. I am searching for a woman who is excited about life; she is educated and passionate, sincere and fierce. She sinks into books and swims in them as deeply as when we dive in the ocean. Simply closing our eyes and leaning against each other, inhaling deeply, while walking on the quiet shore at Redang, pausing in a jungle trek in Borneo to listen to the storm of cicadas or sleeping in our simple backyard at night, we share the mundane and the epic.

I don't want my heart to be the most remote place on the planet.

Wet sand caked on our toes, watching thick spiderwebs of lightning claw through a massive Uluru of black cloud, as tall as the moon is high and as wide as half of the horizon, over a solid, gray slab of ocean, throttling toward Pulau Redang at 4:00 am.

That, or a walk in the marina would be nice :)
