After looking at profiles for the last week or two, I am making a few changes to mine to help clarify who I am. People descibe me as kind, caring and non-judgmental. They tell me that I'm very easy to talk to. I have a pretty good sense of humor. I am very honest. I would rather someone tell me something that I do not want to hear rather than tell me something that isn't true. I do not attend a church but have a strong belief in God.
I love living in the country where I can see the wildlife and nature. I think many people miss the beauty that nature provides in our world. Just like half the profiles that I have read, I love the ocean and the mountains. I am also an animal lover and really enjoy my pets. I currently have 2 dogs and 2 cats in the house and feed a neighbor's cat to discourage her from hunting at the bird feeders. One of the cats and one dog belong to my mother and will be moving out in a few weeks.
I am family oriented and enjoy family gatherings. I have 2 grown step children from my previous marriage. They have been part of my life for almost 30 years. We remain very close and enjoy spending time together. Both of the kids would tell you that I was a much of a mother to them as their own mother was. I'm very thankful that their mother was willing to share them with me.
During my leisure time I enjoy reading just for relaxation, watching old movies and cooking favorite meals for the people that I care about. I like to go out to dinner or a movie but I also enjoy quiet evenings at home. I tend to like small gatherings rather than a crowd. I use to prefer the oldies but now find myself listening to country music. I do enjoy both but tend to have country on the radio more often.
I have been a nurse for 30+ years. I have worked with individuals with developmental disbilites for most of my career. Even though I now have an administrative position, working with this population brings me a lot of personal satisfaction.
I'm looking for a man to spend some time with. Dating would be fine and then waiting to see what happens. If a long term relationship develops that would be great. I do hope to have someone to share my life with. I also understand that it may take time to find the right person. I'm willing to work with the right man to build a strong long term relationship.

This is something that should be agreed upon by both of us. I would like to go somewhere where we could talk and start to get to know each other. Out to lunch or dinner maybe. It doesn't need to be anything fancy. Just a public place to start. I would just prefer that it is quiet enough so we can talk. Then for a walk or some place where we can continue to get to know each other and to see if there may be some chemistry between us.
