Lifelong Chicagoan so I love exploring the city b/c there's always something new to experience; try to exercise 2-3 times weekly; love long walks, bicycling, museums, being at the lakefront and neighborhood festivals; love to laugh, have fun, read, and need/appreciate alone time. I value my independence while hoping to find someone who is companionable and has warmth and a great sense of humor (which I believe is a lifesaver!). Sharing interests as well as new activities with one another enhances each of our lives. Education and a desire to travel, even weekend getaways, would be a great thing to have in common. I enjoy many types of music: classic rock; jazz; blues; Brazilian; French and classical. Politics are liberal but not insane! Have 3 grown sons who mean the world to me; have a Sheltie who is very sweet, but I'm well aware she's a dog - not "my baby!"

Definitely would want to meet somewhere for a cup of tea or a glass of wine where we could talk and start to get to know one another; maybe some music in the background playing but nothing blaring; maybe an outdoor cafe or a pub with a fireplace - whatever, just quite relaxed.
