Do you take fun seriously. Can you laugh at yourself; can you make me laugh even while giving me a hard time.

Henry David Thoreau said the true sign of a man's success is how much he's loved by small animals and children. I like to think this applies to me, at the same time I am accomplished in other areas of my life. I enjoy a variety of music but especially jazz, I also enjoy downhill skiing, the beach, film, travel, great food (I can't think of a cuisine I don't like) and of course family and friends. My career has allowed me to see much of the world. I like what I do but I work to live, I don't live to work.

The best parts of life are made better when shared with the right person. I'm not looking for perfection in a woman, I'm far from perfect but I am particular about the kind of relationship I would like. It needs to work on an emotional, intellectual and of course physical level. Some of my friends are amused by the notion that I expect to have all three. We'll see.

An extraordinary first date would include an unstoppable conversation over dinner but a cup of coffee or a drink after work might be a better approach for a first meeting.
