Hobbies include running, sculling at the lake my mini dachshunds, read/writing, hiking, skiing, home projects. Goals include having fun on a regular basis, helping my son through college, strong & meaningful relationships with friends and family, continual growth and improvement in my profession, spending my life with a wonderful male partner. I'm tall, slender, athletic/tomboyish, but also a feminine woman who enjoys "girly stuff." Creative, compassionate and love to play outside. Also love Shakespeare and beautiful language. My taste in music includes the blues, rock & roll, some jazz/country, Like DMB & Jack Johnson.

First date would be in a public neutral place. Best is coffee. However, a great date is a nice glass of wine outside on a warm breezy evening, followed by a nice dinner with good conversation. Listening to some live music, maybe dancing or taking a long walk somewhere beautiful (beach or near the water). A daytime date would be going to Farmer's Market, rowing early or at dusk on Lake Natoma, wine tasting in the Shenandoah Valley and picnicking with a nice bottle of wine on a beautiful hillside.
