Hello everyone.

I thank you for visiting my profile. Hope this finds you all smiling and well. I apologize in advance for the long profile, it will be worth the read. I can be a bit of an author when I get typing...haha.

With the holidays quick approaching, thoughts lead me to thinking how wonderful it would be to meet a special lady to share this (and any) time of year with. And in all honesty, New Years Eve is meant for couples. So that being said, maybe the best holiday gift two people could give each other is their companionship. If you agree, please do read on.... :-)

I have been single for a while now-- just the busy nature of life and establishing myself in Edmonton has kept me ignoring the fact that I want to meet one special lady. I keep myself busy in my spare time, but I think it would be much more fun sharing that time with someone special-- I want to open my life to share with one incredible, witty, silly, sexy, classy lady. I have listed my profile under "dating", but I am very open to long term relationship with the right lady.

I'm a loving, affectionate guy- a gentle giant. I will ask you about your day , because I genuinely care. I am a giving person and would want you to be the same towards me. I ‘ll be proud of you and be supportive of your goals, your greatest fan. I will adore you from the tip of your nose to your toes. I actually don't mind tagging along when you go clothes/shoes shopping (I have been known to offer a good opinion)-- it isn't what a person is doing, but the company they keep. I like to dress casual and like to ritz it up for kicks too.

I want to be the first person you think of when you have something you want to share, good times and not so great times. I love nature without being outdoorsy and fuzzy animals melt my heart.

I prefer pubs to clubs, unless there is a live band I want to see. I may have one socialable on occasion, but often don't, since I drive.

I'm a good man, with integrity and values. But like anyone, I am far from perfect. Which is great, because I enjoy learning and self-improvement. I think I balance being a goofy and a serious minded bloke rather well - I do like to joke around and make friends laugh. I try to be fair and listen to other's opinions-- I want to share and grow together, bringing new experiences into each other's lives-- I look forward to it!

I am particular of my appearance and am making healthy choices. I have lost some weight and am over 20 pounds lighter then in the photos I have posted here. I really don't want to update my photos until I personally can see enough of a difference. One of my goals for 2009 was to take better care of my physical health, so I am going to continue to lose the weight; I won't be satisfied until I can change my body type from "a few extra pounds" to "Average"-- or if all goes well, "Thin" or "Athletic". I am on track to achieving it-- Yaaay! If you are already fit, I would love the encouragement and insight you can bring. I am always eager to learn from others.

I have been on my own for a long while, so I'm domestically independent and won't expect you to pick up after me. I can cook and always love learning new recipe ideas. My best buddy is my dishwasher though...haha.

I am looking for lady who is also loving and affectionate, who is looking for one fellow to date and if things are going well, willing to have a long term relationship. It would be great if you were of a creative background too OR have an understanding how creative people "tick" in regards to values. I am mentioning this, because I think for myself and my future match to be happy with each other, it is very important to be up front that life with an arts person isn't a ‘9 to 5' lifestyle and it can be more adventurous than some people are looking for. But if you are game, it will be a lot of mutual fun. It doesn't mean an erratic life, just one that colours outside the lines and to it's own drum beat.

I believe in keeping romance and that “honeymoon” feeling alive through out a relationship, not just in the beginning. I am also not sure my final home will be Alberta, though I am born and raised in this province-- So if you are keen on warmer climates, that would be great--- how does California or Arizona sound? :-)

My suggestion for a first in-person meeting would be going for a coffee or tea (I really enjoy a good Chai), somewhere relaxed where conversation could thrive. If you prefer a glass of wine or other beverage, I am open to suggestions to any places that you enjoy to go. The most important thing for me is for us to begin to get to know each other and share some time together. Then if we feel a mutual connection, we can talk about that official first date. :-)
