Hi, I enjoy running, mainly on the weekends and holidays. When I go out on my runs I run between 7 and 10 mile runs. This distance was never a goal of mine, it just happened. I have done a 13 mile run once, that was just for fun and about 20 years ago. In addition to this I like to draw pictures, never tried painting except in art class in school. I like to go see good movies and occasionally ride my bike.
I like going to car shows, with an interest in the older cars (what I call real cars). From the early 1900's to the early 1970's. There is a car show held in Charlotte annually that I like to go to. Really get a kick out of seeing those old cars. Some are being shown off, and others are for sale.
My goals and aspirations are to meet that special lady and someday get married. She can have or not have children. Look, if you meet someone and they have children. You better accept that fact. Because once they are born, you cannot take them back for a refund! It makes no difference to me!
Other goals include going to Washington, DC to run in the Army 10-miler. This is a running event with thousands of runners. It is 10 miles, unlike a marathon which has 26 miles. I enjoy the competition of running. Another is to get better in my job (auto parts sales) and to branch out into other fields. One other goal is to be a good friend to whom I'm with, and to my classmates. Another goal is to finish attaining my degree from East Carolina University in Urban and Regional Planning.
My unique side? Believe in being honest and upfront with you. I like going to church. Going different places at times. Don't like to be on the go all the time. I have a dog. She thinks she is human at times. She has this wonderful personality that you have to see to appreciate. Then the things I have overcome. I was born 2 months and 4 days premature. Raised and adopted by my grandparents. I use to stutter, that was hard to overcome! I still do at times. Believe in being respectful to my lady, family, and friends. Will not ever call you anything disrespectful, because you have a name and so do I. Prefer to open doors for the lady I'm with, hold doors for others, and say yes/no sir or mam. I do say thankyou or you're welcome. These are just manners that everyone should use. It's about respect.
Taste in music! Music such as classical, rock, rythum and blues, and country. Music after 1992, I tend to pick and choose through. Bands like Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, The Police, and individuals like Deborah Cox, Whitney Houston, Phil Collins, Micheal Jackson, and Bob Seger. These are just a handful of those artists that make music that I like.
What I don't call music is those CD's and Tapes with 4 letter words throughout. Or the car or truck that pulls up along side or is 4 vehicles away playing the same noise over, and over again. Or the noise that is coming out of the speakers that sound blown and ready for the junk pile.

I'm aware this is optional. I do have a car and a pickup truck. First date, wow! Um, either go to a movie, or just take a walk in the park. What's the point in going out, if one is not willing to talk and listen. The movie would have to be a good one. It can be your choice, or our choice. Going out to eat, yes would be part of this. Before and and after the movie part, would be our sitting and talking to each other, not at each other. And let's see where it goes from there. I could type out my plans for our first date, but there are varibles in life. So I'm just giving the basics for a start. Everything has to have a beginning and end. I like to be romantic, you know flowers, etc.
