About Me
I’ve always believed that the key to happiness is to follow your dreams. When I was a boy, I wanted nothing more than to become a police officer one day. And I got to live that dream for fifteen years when I worked as both a uniform and undercover cop for the NYPD in Brooklyn.
Nowadays, I like spending time kick-boxing, lifting weights and playing racket ball. When I’m not at the gym, I’m hanging out with my two kids. My daughter is sixteen and has a great knack of making me laugh. My son is seventeen and I’m man enough to admit he can kick my butt at pool—but I can kick his at bowling.
What I love about retirement is that it gives me the time to do all those things I never got around to trying before. I’ve just started taking painting and clay sculpture classes at the local community college. Next on the list is learning to play guitar, especially songs by U2.
I would describe myself as down to earth, warm-hearted, easy-going and a great listener. I am very respectful and I treat a woman the same way I would want someone to treat my own daughter. I've been known to be a little shy at first, but once you get to know me... well, you can't shut me up!
A few miscellaneous tid-bits about me: I served in the military for four years, and I was an auto-mechanic before I became a cop. I also speak Italian fluently. My favourite tv shows are King of Queens and, of course, CSI.
The dream I'm chasing now is to find my perfect match. I want to settle down with someone and buy a house together in the suburbs. As I said before, I'm down to earth, physically fit and a great listener, and I'm looking for a woman who shares these qualities. Bonus points if you can sing Bono to my The Edge. If this sounds like you, then send me a message. I can’t wait to meet you.
