About Me
Ok, here I go. Closing my eyes and jumping in! This is all new to me, so please be understanding, and gentle....lol. Does anyone else feel weird about being in here?
A little about me.... I enjoy sports, but I’m not obsessed with it. There's more to life than watching millionaires play a game. I never really understood the obsession some people have with 'needing' to watch the game and getting upset when their team doesn’t win. I enjoy photography, keeping fit and reading non-fiction when I have time. I enjoy cooking (I want to take a class) and experiencing different wines and beer (don’t worry I have it under control). I LOVE storms! All kinds, thunderstorms, snow, wind..You name it. Once they start, you'll find me outside watching/experiencing the power of them. As a friend, you couldn’t ask for more. I enjoy helping them and I’m always there to listen and discuss things when situation calls for it. I tend to have a few very close friends compared to many casual ones.
I have somewhat of serious exterior demeanour, but don’t let that fool/scare you. Get to know me and you'll find out that I have a tremendous sense of humour and a soft side. Warning, my sense of humour tends to be on the "dry/sarcastic" side. A key to getting my attention is demonstrating that you can give and take when it comes to humour. I love a great sense of humour!
I would definitely say that I'm more spiritual than religious! I’m capable, and wanting, deep thought provoking conversations. Challenge me, please. Conversations are good....arguments are bad. I'm not a fan of people who won't even consider another person's thoughts as potentially being correct/valid/worthy...etc Keeping an open mind about things is important to me as well as appreciating things (especially the little things) as they happen. I find that I get along more with people who can appreciate subtleties and the nuances of life. I don’t like to build things up too much because when high expectations aren’t met, it's a far far fall that can lead to disappointment. And who likes to be disappointed??
Confidence in who you are and what you want is important to me. Oh by the way, you’ll need to communicate because my mind reading abilities aren’t quiet perfected yet. Understanding what life is really about is paramount. Only open, down to earth, honest, sincere people need apply. That’s probably too much to ask for, isn’t it? So, hit the email button and send me a message!
(I borrowed this statement from another POF profile because its so true) Never make someone a priority who in turn chooses only to make you an option" it's called settling and no one wins when one settles
First Date
I believe a first date should be really casual. A get together for a coffee (even though i don't drink coffee) or a drink. An opportunity to meet and talk without other date pressures.
