ME...

Well, let's see...I'm the consummate old-fashioned girl....I love romance (as evidenced by my disgusting passion for sappy love movies...-sigh-); I think that saying that someone is kind is the highest compliment one could give; I'm very girly (yes, I DO love fairies), but I can climb fences and go camping with the best of `em; I love to go on unusual adventures (and always seem to find them, despite myself); I love history, drawing, writing, music (playing bass & drums, albeit very badly, listening to music & going to live shows, both large venues & seedy dives), animals, reading, creation of any sort, laughing til it hurts, spending time with friends & family bar-b-que-ing, watching movies (at home and in the theater), etc.....

HIM...

ummm....I'm looking for....someone who has an old-fashioned idea of romance, someone who's passionate, someone who may not WANT to watch my love movies, but who will endure them, if only for the sake of teasing me about it later (grin) - and, in fairness, I also love kung fu flicks, thrillers, historical adventures, dramas, mysteries, spy movies, some science fiction and some horror - someone who makes me laugh (this one's key), someone who is intelligent and kind to me, someone who (swoons for a minute)....is strong and sure of himself but isn't egotistical (ego is my arch enemy).....someone who thinks of a relationship as a team - "us against the world".....and someone who will love & spoil my fur-kids (dogs & cats) - because the way to my heart is through my furry babies (grin)...As far as interests, I'd like to meet someone who loves music (a musician or just a music lover), someone who is creative, someone who is intelligent but down-to-earth, someone who is mellow & likes to rent movies, bar-b-q with friends, have drinks at the local dive bar, etc. but is up for exploring sometimes (whether it's the crystal caves or just the local bookstore), is open to the unusual and someone who values humor (which I think is one of the key ingredients to any good relationship!)...Smart Alec's are definitely welcome here (grin).

AND...a strong love of animals is a necessity... and an alpha male is a big plus (by alpha male I don't mean someone domineering, lol...google it please) :)


MUSIC...

I love shoegaze (Cocteau Twins, Slowdive, Ride, My Bloody Valentine, Jesus & Mary Chain, etc.), old melodic punk (Misfits, Descendents, SNFU, etc.), New Rock (Tool, A Perfect Circle, Deftones, etc.), Indie (Band of Horses, Midnight Movies, Great Lake Swimmers, etc.), Classic Rock (Fleetwood Mac, Journey, ummm...pretty much anything from the 70's & early 80's rock category), Rockabilly (Carl Perkins, Wanda Jackson, Hank Williams Sr., etc.)...I love music, so I'm definitely open to hearing what moves you... :)


IMPORTANT STUFF, DISCLAIMERS, ETC.

I'm not looking for my "other half" - I'm whole and comfortable with who I am; I'm generally on the shy side on a first date, but when I feel comfortable I love to make jokes, laugh at them and have neverending faith in the people I care about; I'd like to find someone to share this experience with - someone who's also (at least mostly) whole...I've actually made a few friends on here, so even if we don't necessarily click romantically, I'm totally open to getting to know new people (I'm actually an exceptional wingman for my guy friends, lol)...

and finally....I'm a spiritual person (it's my own thing - I don't talk about my spirituality unless asked), but I'm not religious and I would do best with someone who isn't deeply religious.

I saw this part on someone else's profile & decided to filch it :)... Please only contact me if you are looking for someone to have a long term relationship with...I'm not interested in serial daters...been there, done that. This means people who aren't sure if they want a relationship, people who just broke up with their girlfriend or wife, people who are looking to casually date me & a bunch of other people and people who have "dating" in the "I'm interested in" area on here.
