About Me
hello :]
I'm an art student finishing up her degree (finally, hallelujah). I'm looking to expand my circle, get to know people in my area. I'm very close with my family and friends, I love spending time and having silly random adventures with them.
I'm really looking forward to being done school. I just have this last year and that's it. No definite plans yet, but I'm just excited to have letters the follow my name. Ideally, I'd like a job that concerns the arts, but if that's not possible, I would like a job that allows me time to continue to make art in my spare time and hopefully make money off of it as well.
I love to read. I have this horrible habit though of locking on to books that I like and just re-reading them over and over. I'm trying to break out of that and make myself read a book that is not harry potter every few months. So far it's going well, I feel much more cultured :P I also love music and dancing. I would have to say that my favourite bands right now are Tegan and Sara and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I have a very healthy respect for old school rock and roll, seeing as how I didn't listen to anything other than my father's mixed tapes until I was eleven and discovered the radio.
i like to change things up, drastically. yesterday my hair was almost a foot long. today i have a faux hawk. i am a firm believer that if something in your life isn't going to way you want it to, you are the only person who can change it, no point sitting around whining that life sucks. it's not going to miraculously get better. so if cutting your hair, rearranging your furniture or going to a concert is what you have to do, be proactive! go out an do it. change is a good thing.
i'm full of awesome, feel free to message me sometime.
First Date
For a first date I would choose something that would give my partner and I a lot of opportunity to talk and get to know each other. Movies are fun, but not very conducive on a first date for communication. Most people get annoyed when the girl behind them keeps whispering things like, "what's your favourite colour? How do you feel about lima beans? Yay or nay?" during the quiet parts of the movie. I'd want to do something fun, like bowling or mini golf, where we can both be goofs and laugh at each other. If you can't be goofy with someone on a first date, then when CAN you be goofy?
