I joined in the hopes of finding someone with similar values, ideas, beliefs, and interests. I am a intelligent, grounded, emotionally available, hard working and family-oriented person who strives to be the best that he can be. Communication is the key to a successful relationship / friendship and I know that unless you are honest with yourself, you can never be honest with anyone else.

I feel very strongly that two people must have a good sense of what they both want and need from each other and know how to effectively communicate that to achieve a balance in a relationship. I really want to find a person that desires to be in a committed relationship, raise a family together, and still hold hands when we are 80 years young. I believe that my match would be a person who knows that inner beauty is longer lasting than what, with age, fades.

I certainly have no expectations that I am anything remotely close to Brad Pitt, but I do know that I am no where close to a five legged toad with 32 warts all over either. I do know that if you can not laugh at yourself, how then, can you appreciate the laughter from yourself or others. I am, simply who I am, and comfortable with my own self identity. I have taken a great deal of time to develop my persona and personal ideology of who I am and what I want from this person called me, myself, and I ....all three of us...how did so many get in there, although myself did argue with me about who was the better of the three!

Along the way I’ve learned that hard work, determination, and maintaining focus on the prize makes the end result all worth the effort, and I do believe that relationships are much the same. Keeping the eye on the prize, never letting go of what you have and working hard, makes the results pay off! I’m certainly not perfect, I can admit making my fair share of mistakes, but I assure you, my intentions are good and my heart is pure, I’m really a nice guy.

My ideal match is a solid, down to earth woman with a good sense of humor and a good sense of who she is and what she wants from a mate and from life. She would be independent, yet able to depend on her mate. She is strong, yet soft of heart. She is nurturing, yet tough loved. She has the courage to say when she is wrong, and when I am, yet strong enough to stand behind her convictions and stand her ground when she is right. And even at times, say the things that may be tough to say, but need to be said. She is not quick to anger, and long lasting in her joys! She has the ability to communicate her deepest thoughts and share them gladly with her mate. After all, she is . . . the beauty in all things possessed.
