I like daytrips and exploring obscure mountain towns, travel to anywhere I've never been, and doing anything outdoors, preferably near water. I have a great career in local law enforcement (not a cop). I have shared custody of teenagers which means I have plenty of time on my own. I like indie flicks and slice of life dramas, Jim Gaffigan's stand up, Dexter and Entourage on cable. Enjoy newer alternative rock, classic rock I'm not sick of, some jazz, like seeing any live bands, especially in outdoor or smaller venues. Any outdoor festival is a great way to spend a weekend day.

Looking for someone who appreciates women and all their idiosyncrasies (growing up with sisters would help), a man who understands the joys and challenges of raising kids, and really, someone who can be light, fun, not too intense, live in the moment, creative and balanced. Not usually interested in gym rats or extreme sportsmen, although I can appreciate the passion attached to these pursuits.

A nice walk or patio with view would be a great way to get to know someone. It's hard to connect in a fancy restaurant or at a movie/concert.
