...in the romantic department, I like dining out and quiet nights at home watching a movie, watching a thunderstorm or stargazing. The remote keyless entry on today's cars kinda negates opening someone's car door, but maybe it makes the chivalrous gesture all that more noticeable. Seriously, I'm an optimistic and (hopefully) funny person. I have moments where I just have to laugh at myself. I'm especially optimistic that I will find that right woman, who is out there looking for me. I just hope she's not at the local bar looking; she might be there a while before I walk in (if I do at all). I'm more inclined these days to at least look online (the scene of the future?) in my search. Find me on match too.

I like movies, cooking (used to do it for a living), playing pool. I usually play softball, though thanks to cutbacks my employer isn't sponsoring a team this year. I own a home so all that comes with it has consumed much of my daily and weekend attention (although it's pretty low maintenance now). I like to drive, but not the begrudging commute to work (like to drive, hate traffic). Just jumping in the car (spontaneously or planned-ly) and going. But it's no fun by myself. Hence my search, to find someone to share the journey of life with: she's attractive to me, smart, funny, sarcastic (but not too cynical or pessimistic). We'd spend time together, get to know each other, find attraction, a spark, and maybe grow something special, a happy, fulfilling, passionate journey. They say The longest journey begins with a single step. Let's take it.

Meeting for drinks or coffee works. If we hit it off and want to spend more time together, we can opt for dinner too (or just see where it goes!). If the chemistry isn't there, there's no commitment to a longer date if one of us isn't up for it.
