About Me
There was a moment in my life, almost exactly 10 years ago when I was standing on a beach in the small town of Sligo, Ireland. I was attending school in London for a semester, and I was doing some traveling with a few friends. I had my whole life ahead of me, and I was standing on this beach watching the sun hide behind a thick layer of clouds and I was so overwhelmed with beauty and calmness I could barely take it. Ever since that experience and the three days I spent in that small Irish bedroom community, I've been chasing that moment again. That moment of clarity in my personal life, career, environment, etc...
Being from the Midwest, I have a set of values that should prove to be steadfast and consistent with good living, but that's not always the case. I work in an artistic profession where chasing jobs and connections seems to reign over the work itself. We're talking about Hollywood here - and I'm trying to break though like a lot of other people, but behind the camera. I try to keep my options open in regards to things I do, people I meet and places I go. I try to experience it all...
...but sometimes I just want to be back on that beach.
And if you got this far, I have to put away that gorgeous story and address something more practical: women and love.
Women are everywhere, but love is rare. I've learned some hard lessons, the first being not to go looking for love. We all look for women, and you women look for men.
Sometimes that works out, sometimes it doesn't. But love is always that wild-card; it keeps us on our toes and our minds working.
Clive Owen - how he is so capable of playing that fine line of deceitful tenderness is a mystery to me. But it works.
