I am the definition of duality. There are bits of nerd, philosopher, scientist, hippie, and more in me, and I'm damn proud of all of them. I've thus far managed to avoid becoming pretentious despite it.

That's all I usually let onto if I don't know you, but if you do you'll see a truly soft-hearted, caring guy. I'm all for cuddling late into the night, I'm a sucker for romance, I can't walk away from a pair of vulnerable eyes, and I genuinely believe that love is the purpose of life. That's who I am, all the way. But at the same time, I'm fiercely loyal to the people I care about, willing to give any measure to protect them and their happiness.

That multifaceted nature extends to the things I enjoy in life. I love green, gold and blue, especially where they exist in nature. I love forests, mountains, rivers and especially waterfalls, the feeling of flying, and I adore rainforests. My favorite time is the night, especially when all is still, and when there are no cities around, and the sky looks like bright dust on black velvet. If you can enjoy that, I think we'll get along fine. The same goes for loving heavy rain, whether out in it or tucked away in warm safety. I think you can see where this is going: I enjoy nature, the Earth and everything on it, and art that emulates nature.

I absolutely love good music, especially medium rock and world music. Anything with energy and drive is fine with me. I hold a special place in my heart for artists like Deep Forest, Peter Gabriel, U2, and Juluka/Savuka, but my collection also includes such diversity as Queen, Nine Inch Nails and Meat Loaf. I sing all the time. I also enjoy good orchestra, but don't have much of it.

I value honesty, loyalty, and openness quite highly, and would expect a partner to do the same. I'm looking for someone who is comfortable giving and receiving a lot of affection, who will support me if something goes wrong, and is willing to let me do the same for them. I seek a woman who has a sense of humor and knows how to have fun, but can take some moments to be serious, to talk and tell me how she feels - we can't read that as well as you! - Enjoying overly verbose conversation on occasion - if I like you, I may have an occasional Shakespearean episode.
- Enjoying a good adrenaline rush. Anything from roller-coasters to skydiving, it's fun!

Oh no, here we go with one of those ever-lengthening profiles... but ramblings tell you more, I suppose.

If I favorite you and don't message you, it's because I want to say something meaningful and I'm taking my time. If I don't want to talk to you, I'll let you know, but I'll be nice about it. If I don't say that, I find you interesting. I'm not interested in wild party girls, but having a good time isn't an issue. Smokers - I'm not a fan, but personality comes first. I listed long-term, but that's not going to happen overnight. I start out slow, because I've been used before, but once I give you my heart, I won't take it back. Nerdy girls seem to have an easy time stealing it. You are probably more afraid of commitment than I am. All men claim to be different, I intend to back it up. I read you from the way you assemble language, so talk freely. I'll learn more from how you speak than what you say. It's important for me to be attracted to you, but only I know what does that. I will say that short wins you bonus points. There are a number of malfunctions in my male programming and I'm after different things than every man I know. No one is perfect - flaws can be appealing, depending on where they are.

It really depends on the woman, and what's going on at the time. Unconventional is great, as you can have more fun with it, but I'm not opposed to tradition. Movies are out, though; conversation is the core concept of a date, and they tend to object in theaters.
