My Self-Summary
First things that came to mind:

Road trips: Traveling to other towns to take in the local culture, ambiance, museums, restaurants, and dances.

Thrift Shopping: finding a one of a kind vintage bargain and stretching a dollar.

Hugs, back rubs, and massages. My dogs that make me feel like I've won the lottery every time I come home.

Old buildings, building salvage yards, house projects.

Fixing broken things and finding new homes for them; the most pure form of recycling

Dancing: Balboa, Lindy, WCS, Salsa, and some Ballroom

Exploring the vacant town when the brainwashed masses are watching some sort of sports final on TV.

What I’m doing with my life
I work as a computer systems engineer for an Internet website hosting company in Sterling. I am responsible for the computers that run websites for products in your medicine cabinet, laundry room, or where you get your news. Sometimes I work odd hours but as long as it leaves some evenings free to dance it works for me. I live in Knoxville, MD which is mainly known for being the drop-off point for tubing in Harpers Ferry WV. I am up the hill from the Brunswick MARC station.

An observant reader of this profile asked how I could leave my dogs home all day. The answer is that I have a housekeeper.


It isn't my day job, but I have taught dance in the Frederick, MD area and would like to teach you to dance, take you dancing, and eventually teach dancing with you. This is a fun activity for staying in shape and is comparable exercise to running.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Anything by Tom Clancy but he need to write some more. Understanding Poverty by Ruby Payne. CSI, and Heroes which I DVR the new episodes. I like most music, at least anything I can dance to. Classical puts me to sleep; can't listen to it when driving. My iPod playlist is full of Pop, R&B, 80's, Swing, Blues, Jump Blues, and some Country.
