I am a single mother first and foremost. I love reading and doing things with my little girl. She is the best thing in my life. I have had a lot of heartache. I am sort of the family joke because if there is anything that can go wrong for me it will. I have a terrible history with men and yet I have not given up. I am not entirely sure how to be a woman and a mom, because I 'escaped' from my daughter's father when she was 3 months old and have not been involved since then. She is now 4 1/2. I am holding out hope that somewhere out there there is someone who will open the book and not simply judge it by its cover. I am a kind-hearted loving woman but I am not very good at loving myself. I put those that I love in my life first and consider them always. It seems to some that I am demanding, but I never expect more than I give. I am very family oriented and am a homebody. I love the simple things in life and can find beauty and happiness in the worst of situations. I long for someone to share that with.

For a first date I would simply like to take the opportunity to get to know someone. Dinner and perhaps a walk by the river or at a park.
