As you can see, I’ve met the most powerful man in the world. Let’s hope that some of his mojo rubbed off on me!

I decided to give this site a try after seeing Markus, the Plenty of Fish creator, on CBC's The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos. He seemed like an interesting, and obviously successful guy. His case for why his site works was compelling. Closer to home, I recently attended a wedding where the couple met through POF.

I work for myself in a field that began as a hobby. My passion and interest grew and overtook what I went to grad school for!

I’m a big do-it-yourselfer. Whether it’s tuning a carburetor, fixing a leaky pipe or investing, I like to learn how to do it myself. I don’t think I’ll try doing my own dental work though.

Ultimately what I’m looking for is someone that I have chemistry with. The only way I know how to determine if there is a spark, is by meeting in person and spending some time together. I’d like to settle down with the right person one day, but only if I can find her.

It’s not easy to describe yourself. So I’ll tell you how my friends describe me:
-A great guy, a nice guy, sometimes too nice, a great catch.
-Very honest and straight forward.
-Knowledgeable on a broad range of topics.
-Funny with a witty, sarcastic sense of humour.
-Generous with his time.
-Takes care of the people around him, very family oriented.
-Has a natural way with children.
-A handyman, always offering to fix something for you.

If you are wondering about my username, it comes from my love of gardening and jazz. Live jazz outdoors in the summertime can’t be beat--unless it’s live outdoor jazz with ice cream!
