I live and do my best to enjoy the little things in life, try to remember to be balanced (yin and yang), and appreciate the things that make us all stronger day to day. Destiny and fate only have the impact you allow. Seize the day.

I'm a fairly positive, yet pragmatic person. I'm trying this because I'm not in school, the bar scene is lame, and I'd rather not date someone from work. I don't like snobs, and shallow people turn me off too. I consider myself pretty funny, but it might take a little while to get used to my sense of humor. I pride myself on being very genuine and honest, and romantic enough to show I care, because I do care, but not so much where I seem clingy or wear it out, and I really just want to meet someone who is similar in that way. Relationships shouldn't be that complicated and I don't want it to be.

As for my taste in women, it is important that she is honest and genuine. I don't believe that white lies are even necessary. If we can't tell each other everything, we won't really get to enjoy each other like we should. I'd like her to be active and ready to spontaneously get up and go with me on some adventure on short notice.

To make this simple, I've listed out some quick facts about myself:

- I'm funny, or I think I'm funny. Could be because I have my own sense of humor and am bored with the stale standard jokes and routines that everyone tries.:)
- I am in pretty good shape and would like the woman I'm with to be also. This may mean that we will do a lot of exercise and active things together to stay healthy and relieve stress.
- I'm spiritual, but not religious. If you want me to explain, feel free to ask.
- Conversations on religion, politics and philosophy are great to me and I don't know why everyone is so uptight about those kinds of topics.
- I love traveling and learning about various places and cultures. I still have a long list of places to go, and would like a partner who likes to explore as much as I do.
- I also enjoy reading, touring wineries, playing sports, watching movies, cooking for others, and hiking.
- I have a stable job in the marketing department of an education company.
- I play bass and guitar and like to make new music in my free time.
- I've loved and practiced photography since my parents got me a 110 camera when I was around six years old.
- Staying fit: Gym, boxing training, jogging
- I like swing dancing and I'm usually taking one of the local classes.
- I also like working on my old VW project car when I can find the time and when it needs it, which is quite often. When it's running well, it makes all with work worth it though. And I don't like having other people's paws under the hood. Maybe it's a little bit of a pride thing :)

Now that that is out of the way, and if you've gotten this far, here is some more detail. I figure too much info is better than not enough in this case.

I'm a very independent person, but it would be great to find a special woman who I can share everything with, and possibly start a family, even if the "family" is just the two of us.

As far as music goes, I love it. I play and listen to an eclectic variety of indi rock. And I also listen to a wide variety of other music ranging from Mozart, to the Hives. I'm not fond of most rap and modern country I've heard, but am willing to try anything new.

Somewhere we can talk. Dinner and/or a drink is cliche, but sometimes it's still the best option. I like to cook (not that I'm great at it, but I'm learning), so making a casual dinner and just watching a movie at home is also nice, though not really a fist-date thing.

Then maybe something active/outdoors if weather permits:
Hiking, or just a walk in a park; Put-put or golf; sporting event like football, baseball, hockey, or soccer. Live music at medium to small kinds of venues, as long as there's a place to chat.
