I've been living in Halifax for six years, and just can't bring myself to leave. I love it here---the ocean, the lakes, the beaches, the trees, the wilderness and the people. I currently work as a freelance writer, though you'd never be able to tell from the quality of this horrible blurb. People say I'm fun and funny, but I'll probably be shy at first and just talk too much.
I'm not high-stress or high maintenance. I don't need constant attention. I don't have a six-pack. Seriously, they come in eights here. I have things I like to do, and can lose a day doing yardwork or gardening. I can put off almost anything to go fishing. And if I could, I would be camping now, near the beach, watching the stars or the moon break through.
In terms of a relationship, I want to start fun and see where things go. "Dating" is an exercise in seeing how much time you'd like to spend with someone, and that's exactly what I'd like to do. I'm willing to put the time in.

Summer is running out! I'd like to go outside. There are any number of natural areas around, and I'd love to just walk on the beach, or at the lake, and, if the thought took us, jump in. We'll deal with the wet underwear later. Or plan ahead and bring bathing suits. Wait. That underwear part isn't what you think. Um, whatever. I'm leaving it.
Wait: first date. Right. Hmmm. Well, nope. Same answer.
Barring that, I'd like to go to the movies, or go fishing, or canoeing. I'll happily sit around a fire once it gets dark. And, I guess, since it might not seem right to go all that way out of town with someone on a first date, I can also drink a mean cup of coffee, or a pint of beer. Send me a message!
