Writing about yourself…always a tricky venture; the limit of your honesty with others is your honesty with yourself...and self deceit is the worst kind.

But who am I? (There's a question that can never be fully answered...)
As far as I can tell, I'm:

Intelligent, and can converse on many subjects.
Open minded (with some limits, of course).
Not too comfortable in crowds, and am not much for nightclubs (too loud, can't talk...)
I like cats, even if my cat doesn't.
I have a diverse interest in music; rock, R&B, jazz, folk, country, classical...it's all music to me.
I'm not interested in hard drugs, but have occasionally smoked some of BC's finest.
I try to be honest (and am reasonably successful...see my above comment about the limits of honesty)

What am I looking for? I'm not entirely sure...but as an outline;
You have to be independent; I can support myself comfortably and keep my cat in crunchies and 'nip, but can't stretch my finances to support someone else.
You have to be able to add to an intelligent conversation.
You have to have some education (though that doesn't exactly mean formal schooling...you can learn a lot with nothing more than internet access, a library card, and the thirst to know)

What is done is not too relevant, since a first date is really more about the company than the activity. Going for coffee is usually the thing, since it's cheap and gives an opportunity to talk. In the end, it's the company, not the activity.
