Hi

I have been in Kamloops for almost 2 years now. I am single, and have found it rather difficult to meet new people! I guess it doesn't help that the average age at my workplace is 50, and the majority of my friends live out of town. So here I am...sick to death of the bar/club scene, mingling with the potentially insane, and somewhat desperate on basically the only free dating site with a susbtantial amount of locals. WINNER! haha, all jokes aside, this site is good for those with busy schedules and a distaste of having drunkened 1st impressions and cheap conversation. Plus its less creepy to approach a girl on here and let them know you are interested than stalking them down aisle 9 of the grocery store, and asking them if the melons are ripe....actually..I think I may just try that...as creepy as it is.

I moved here for a good full time position, which is rather secure. My goal was to get to Kamloops with my Career, so I plan on staying for awhile....unless of course I get an attractive job offer in Sydney, Australia..then I'll be moving down under to live off of Vegemite and Toheys New whilst froliking along the beaches. Ahhhh.

In my spare time I play guitar, social rugby, pretty much any sport i'll play socially, swim, camp, fish...yeah everything listed in my 'interests' section. These things are fun to a point - but are waaaay better to share the experiences with someone else...perhaps a fun spirited pretty girl? :)

I guess I'm looking to have fun, and if I meet the right person and theres the right connection then I'd like to explore that further. I made the mistake of 'settling' in the past, and won't do that again. Live and learn right?! I believe I have lots to offer, and hope to find someone that can appreciate that, is open minded, kind hearted, can crack me up, is outgoing and has a lust for life (isnt that an iggy pop tune..hmm).

It depends on the connection and circumstance. If meeting off of this site - the 1st date would likely involve meeting for the 1st time - so something light like coffee or a cpl drinks or a walk in the park would be a good one. Then we can break the ice and talk lots, yet its easy to back out of if its a bad vibe!

Otherwise, once that ice has been broken...a day at the lake or a hike and picnic would be very cool.
