How many times have you heard "when you're not looking he/she will find you"? So, with that said, I'm "not" looking *wink*

I want to say that kids are ok. I mean if you have one(some) it doesn't mean I won't contact you. I've just not been fortunate enough to have my own. There is kiddo time and adult time, knowing the importance of both is key! I'm an honorary aunt to a few little boogers! and I appreciate how important time spent with them is.

I want the same as most singles-the person you think of first when something good/bad happens and can't wait to talk to or need a hug! That someone who can make you laugh at their silly jokes/cry because you are so happy. Is this person real? I tend to put my heart out there easily so I'm patient hoping that "the one" will find me before it's too tattered. I value friendships a lot! maybe more b/c of being single, but I'm sure that won't change when I'm part of a couple.

Supporting/encouraging each other is essential in a relationship. Communication is extremely important!

Recent events(in June/July 2009) have made me take a look at how I live my life. Living every day as your "best" is my goal just in case it’s my “last”.

I love to laugh so if you have a sense of humor, BONUS! You know that kind of laughing like in library/church when you can't control it and you almost pee in your pants! okay, not that hysterical all the time, but you get it.

I like dancing. West Coast Swing does a body good! If you know how, great! (or two step too), if not, it's not a dealbreaker.

I like to stay active (i.e., gym, dancing, etc), but totally appreciate "down" time. I'm open to learning about golf,maybe then I would understand why some people watch it on tv (I just don't get it). I find myself going to watch football and basketball with friends more frequently these days (college and pro).

Shyness is cute, but hopefully you open up once you get to know someone. I have been described by friends as outgoing, friendly and having a strong personality. Someone who could keep me "in line" is good. A man who opens the door for ladies and elderly shows respectfulness. I enjoy being treated like a lady AND "one of the boys" sometimes.

Health is important! I am by no means a skinny minnie and never will be. I get in the gym about 3-4 workouts per week. I want to stay strong/healthy as the years go by and enjoy life to the fullest!

I want to share new experiences with a special someone. As part of a couple you can still do "single" things, but it's much harder to do couple things/events when single..does that make sense?

We should always have a mutual trust and respect for each other. I really want my best friend! you get hurt feelings sometimes, but they are always there for you.
We all have "moments"-hills and valleys in life and someone who can be sensitive, caring and willing to share ALL emotions good and bad.

Really just want to find a good person that complements me (and compliments me!). I guess I'll "know" when the right one finds me. I prefer to date guys taller than me. At 5'8" I like them 6' or taller...just one of those things...

PDA is ok “after” interest/connection is established. By no means a prude, but have had experiences where after 10 minutes someone feels they could “grope”, not cool! And ruined something before it was given a chance.

I am open to fishing, hunting, camping and all that guy stuff (and some girls do it), but I have pretty much nil on experience so keep that in mind if you want to share that with me. ha!

West Coast Swing Dancing and two steppin', volunteer for Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, enjoy a great glass(bottle) of red wine, snuggle with my mini daschshunds(and significant other), watch movies. oh and Aggie Football!

To do with someone “special”…
Wine bars, pubs, backyard BBQs, quiet moments and dinner with friends, hole in the wall places, open to new experiences.

Traveling has been low key in the last few years and the "recession" has me watching pennies a little bit more. I loved London, Paris & Amsterdam! and have yet to go to Australia.

Favorite color is purple, Tex Mex - country music, but can be found with Pink, Black Crows, Salt N Pepa, Blues/Jazz on my MP3 player .

Dancing -men who dance are very sexy! Men who are willing to take lessons are sexy too! but I am NOT a teacher! :-)

A first date is probably best for a coffee or Happy Hour at a "neutral" location. not against meeting at the dog park either (that would be interesting with my two dachshunds).

An email or two, then talking on the phone is best at first, then plan a meeting. Then after that, who knows?
