Given his choice of partner (my mom), I am able to see where he was coming from. I also must admit that I share his preferences in that regard.
Nevertheless, in winning my affection (and keeping it!) I believe that having a kind heart is probably even more important. My goals/aspirations center around being a good person...which can be quite a challenge in our materialistic surroundings (high cost of So-Cal living be d*mned!).
So yes, I'm a sensitive guy, but you can't put me in that wimpy nice guy box, cuz I'll bust right out of it with many a fine tuned karate chop! My endeavors as a musician might hide my background as a highly driven athlete, but my Laker t-shirts will probably give me away. Seriously, I would've gone pro if it weren't for the bad knees. Okay, maybe not so seriously.
In closing: if you think you are more sweet than sassy, more brainy than ****y, and more nerdy than nympho...we should definitely hang out!

Even if it's cliche, meeting up over dinner is a good first date. Conversation is the key to any good relationship. Can't stress how much I love a woman with an active mind.
Back to the main question, my dating activities tend to center around movies, cooking, beach going, poking each other in the ribs, sight-seeing, comedy clubs...and of course cuddling. For the record, I like to take my time before jumping in bed with someone...jumping ON a bed with you, that's a different story.
