I recently moved to the Vancouver area from a smaller town in northern BC. I've lived in smaller communities for most of my life. While the 'big city' is taking some getting used to, I'm enjoying how much more there is to experience here.

The one thing that has proven difficult is the ability to meet people (hence I'm on here). I don't frequent bars and I'm really not into the 'gay scene'. Experience has shown for this reason I generally have more in common with people a bit older than myself.

I left a good job to move here, but I haven't looked back yet. I am a very dedicated person when it comes to my work, but I think it's time for a good look at the other things important in my life.

I don't really do the stereotypical gym or yoga group thing, but I do try to live a healthy lifestyle. I enjoy long walks (especially with my dog), tennis, kayaking, canoeing, cycling, but I also like to stay in with a good movie, games, or good old-fashioned tv. I'm content with simpleness, as long as I'm happy and surrounded by possitive people.

I'll admit I'm on this site primarily to meet new people, but it wouldn't be such a bad thing if I met my 'one' person. :)

I really believe it's all about who you're with and how you make it. I won't lie, I do enjoy a nice coffee, a stroll around the city or the ocean, maybe sit in a park and people watch. (There's a good reason these things are so cliche you know!)
