Thanks for taking a look at my profile. Here’s the little bit about me part. I'm currently working in Sayre, PA flying a medical helicopter. I grew up in Binghamton and spend much of my off time there with family and friends, but I'm flexible on relocating within a days drive. Most of my adult life was spent in the Marine Corps, raising kids and seeing a lot of the world. I lived in the South until returning to NY in 2006. I love doing things outdoors to include hiking, bicycling (not the fast stuff), canoeing/kayaking, fishing, camping, etc. I also enjoy gardening, doing home improvements, reading and singing (in the privacy of the car or shower ;o) ). I try to stay fit and still play a game of rugby now and then. I'm not a great cook, but have always been more than happy to clean up after a good cook. I am a very caring person and try to do all I can to brighten the lives of family and friends. I'm fairly laid back and have learned to not let the small things become big things. I choose to be happy everyday no matter what is going on. That’s why I’m usually smiling. :o)
I'm hoping to meet a woman who is generally happy and positive; able to laugh at herself in addition to just at me; enjoys the outdoors and is somewhat fitness conscious; warm, affectionate, caring and understands the importance of a loving family and friends. Someone who WANTS someone like me, but doesn't NEED me. My 3 sons have grown up and are on their own, but I have no aversion to someone who still has kids at home. I get along great with most kids. I also love animals so it would be best if you are not allergic to dogs (especially labs) and cats. (no reptiles in the house though, please ;o) I do think my best match would be someone who is willing to try to do things WITH me. I've done a lot of fun things alone and would really like to share some of those experiences with a loving partner. I do travel a fair amount and especially enjoy Europe, so have a suitcase ready. :o)
I know there are a lot of great women out there but I also know that it is hard to match up the right mix of personalities and interests to make a really great relationship. I don't want to try to make someone fit as I've seen that from both sides and know it ends up as lost time.
