About Me
Wow! I just noticed that everything that I wrote in my profile was suddenly missing! I needed to rewrite this anyway...

So, My name is Jason, I'm 27 (POF won't let me correct my birth date), and currently reside in Castle Rock. I've lived in Colorado all my life and can't imagine life without the Rocky Mountains to the west or full-fledged seasons each year. I'm horrible with directions so I depend on the mountains to know which way I'm going like every other native.

I'm very easy-going and *very* rarely get angry. I always can find the silver lining in every bad situation. I'm a "glass half-full" kind of guy and feel that being happy is a moral obligation. Happiness truly is a choice so why not choose to always wear a smile... It's contagious! Although I'm not that argumentative and easy-going, I'm also very opinionated about some topics and love debating current events.

Your first impression of me would be that I'm very sweet, respectful, calm, and quiet. You'd be right but that's just the first of my many layers. I also enjoy being social, going out to dance, I can be very feisty and sarcastic, and I love a good laugh! I'm certainly an introverted person but I am getting better at being more open. I grew up in a very stable family so I actually have a difficult time handling confrontations/drama involving yelling/arguing. You can certainly say I'm a lover, not a fighter, I avoid drama at all costs, and I can resolve a crisis much better than most. A steady, level head can make much better decisions than an emotional and stressed one.

One thing I'm very passionate about is our country and politics. I know what most of you are thinking... "Oh, great! An opinionated political whack-job!" and I would tell you, "That's about right!" Haha! I am glued to the news channels each evening and news sites online. I never did care about politics (sounds like such a dirty word) until 9-11-2001. I never thought politics affected *me* but the more I learned, the more I could see that the majority of Americans choose to ignore what's truly going on in our country and many of us let politicians do the dirty work so we don't have to think about it. Now don't worry, I'm not the type to try and *make* you agree with my views and I won't bore you with them if it's something you're not interested in. Just so you know which side of the fence I'm on, I believe in the responsibility of the individual to do the right thing, I believe the community(churches and volunteer orgs)/local/state government is much more helpful than the federal government, you know how to spend your own money *MUCH* better than the government can, and that just because you disagree on a topic does not make you a racist or a homophobe. I think that 90% of the federal government is corrupt and not looking out for our interests and I want to clear out all of Washington DC, start from scratch, and elect people who *serve* us and not their own interests. I'm not happy with the R's or the D's... Both parties are ruining our country and our future. One is just doing it much faster than the other! If you're a die-hard, bleeding heart liberal, we probably wouldn't want to try debating but I know I could find some subjects that we agree on.

There's much more to me and I'll be adding to this later...

First Date
I've found the best way to truly get to know someone without any tension is to do a lunch date. I first date is all about seeing if there's any chemistry at all. Going out for lunch eases the mood and expectations... it's just lunch and talking. If there is a mutual spark of interest, lets do dinner, drinks, and dancing. I think by then we'd have a pretty good idea if we're better off as friends (I always enjoy making new, good friends), progress into something a bit more romantic and passionate, or run for the hills and flee for your life! ;)
