I'm currently finishing up a master's degree in medical imaging. I care about what I do and work hard, but I know the importance of a balanced life. My friends and family are important to me and I’ll always make time for them.

I've lived in Toronto for almost ten years and love exploring the city: trying a new restaurant, especially Indian, Ethiopian, or Japanese, checking out an interesting store like Rotate This or This Is Not The Rosedale Library, or just wandering around Kensington or High Park.

I'm always up for an adventure. Ideally that would mean travelling somewhere I've never been (the more foreign the location the better!), but since I don't get to do that as often I'd like, meeting new people and exploring closer to home are good alternatives. I love getting out of the city to go camping or to relax at my family’s cottage.

I usually go to a concert of some kind every few weeks. I enjoy many different styles of music, but tend towards rock the majority of the time (Sonic Youth, Radiohead, Neko Case). I prefer hanging out with my friends in pubs, but enjoy the occasional night out dancing (although it’s unlikely to be on Richmond).

I keep in shape by going to the gym, running, and playing soccer. I love riding my bike and have little interest in owning a car. (Of course renting one to get away for the weekend is another story.) I find current events interesting and would describe myself as moderately left wing. I prefer unusual styles of beer, particularly if I’ve made it myself. Cooking ambitious meals at home is a lot of fun, especially if you have some help!
