I like to do outdoor activities. I like hanging out at home and chilling with someone on the couch. I work in public safety as a career. I have two daughters so family is very important.

I like to try new things and am open to new discoveries. I like going for long walks in crowded city environments so I can get lost in the hustle and bustle of society and absorb the energy of all the people around me. I like sitting in coffee shops and finding new little restaurants tucked away in obscure hidden places. I love hiking and camping, sitting by camp fires and lakes, watching the stars and listening to the waves. I like to read, write, and sit and talk with someone. I love working out and I love sitting in a dark room with that special someone, watching a movie and cuddling together, wrapped in a blanket.

I have a good, stable career but I want to eventually continue my education so I can advance within my chosen profession. I have a strong work ethic that tends to be a hinderance at times when I get absorbed in a project or objective. I need someone free spirited and energetic to help bring me into balance with my fun side. I am secretly free spirit, I just sometimes forget about that side of me. I don't want to be codependent on a woman, I want a relationship to be based on interdependence, both of us complementing each other's qualities. I don't expect a woman to be perfect, just open to experiences and embracing imperfections as the part of life that makes us unique.

I like all kinds of music: rock, rap, country, classical..you name it, I probably listen to it based on my mood or situation.

I believe that soul mates are created out of mutual respect and initial attraction. I think that communication is key to success in any relationship, including friendship.

A first date could be conversation at a coffee shop or lunch at a deli. It could also be a day hike at Mt. Diablo or a walk on the Iron Horse Trail. Movies are great, but limit the conversation when you are getting to know someone.
