Well, if you're one of my forum friends..here are my life's lessons. So we can remove all doubt as to my the state of mind ;-) Peace out.

Attitude is everything. You can't control what happens all of the time ,but you can always control how you react to it.

Gratitude is the key to happiness. Think every morning and every night about what you are thankful for.

Regrets are for wusses. okay, better said...you only regret the things you don't do. So go for it. And have the brass to stand up to what you do do (that sounds wrong).

Which leads to , laugh ..alot. Laugh at everything you can..especially yourself.

You are your own best friend. Act like it.

If you screw up, accept responsibility and take steps to make immediate reparations. If somebody else screws up and does this, give them a break.

Look people in eyes. (and lol, the eyes are above the nose for guys that need a gentle reminder). Seriously, don't be afraid to meet someone's eyes...you are better than that.

Say hello to people and be genuinely concerned about them. You have no idea how many amazing stories I've heard in shopping malls or lines or at the park or at concerts or at restaurants...I love talking to people. Fascinating. I make friends everywhere.

Men are not binary (well for you guys..women aren't either). It's not f*able or not. Seriously, we're all human beings. I have alot of male friends whom I value very highly. And I love getting that male perspective (cause your boyfriend never really quite tells you straight ;) )

You have to give respect in order to get it.

You have to turn in your balls at the office to become a manager. Okay ,wait that's what I thought in my rebel years...not entirely true. However, the best way to lead people is to set a good example.

Begin with the end in mind (from Art of War).

No matter what happens...walk through life with the eyes of a child. Don't get jaded. It's much more fun when you can delight in simple things. Hold on to your optimism and see the good in things.



Allow music to move you; art to stimulate you; and nature to rejuvenate & soothe you.



Spend time alone daily to recenter.



You don't get to hit replay. And your life isn't going wait for you to go to school, or get a certain amount of money, or buy a house, or meet someone, have kids. Your life is right now.

Respect yourself and others. Always.

Love passionately and have fantastic sex as often as you can :) Seriously.

It's okay that men and women are different. It's called the 'opposite sex' for a reason. I personally am a huge fan of the differences, even when I don't totally 'get' my man.

Give back. It's the right thing to do.

Money is a tool. But things/money can never replace happiness. It should be low on the list. Someone smarter (can't think who at the moment) said it should be in your head but not in your heart. So , what he said.

Extremists of any kind (left, right,religious,whatever) are pretty much wrong. Moderation and reason are key.

Walk in someone else's shoes, lest you judge too harshly. Hell, I have a hard enough time juggling my own life, I don't need to be harsh towards others.

Don't miss an opportunity to hug or kiss or talk or play or whatever. Walk in the rain, belly laugh, stop and breathe. You may not have that opportunity again.

Life is too damn short to hide being gay (Armistead Maupin said that).

Life is short , make fun of it. (I said that).
