About Me
Thanks for reading my profile. I am a professional man with varied interests. I lead an active lifestyle and I am looking for someone with similar interests. I am an educator, and do a number of other things. I have spent a significant portion of my life pursuing graduate education, and have decided to slow my life down after more than a decade of school. In my free time, I enjoy travel, exercising, writing (I publish a quarterly column), painting, my antique vehicles, my convertible on nice cool summer nights, as well as time with my Australian cattle dog and Maine Coon cat. I like to go out, but I just can’t stand the bar scene as a single. It is too smoky and I just can’t deal with the professional drinkers. I don’t mind alcohol, but I feel like I have moved past that. I am a very eclectic person with many interests and tastes. I believe my greatest traits are my passion, ability to focus on things in my life, and my ability to laugh at anything. I am divorced with no children. I like kids, just never had any of my own. This is just a snapshot of who I am. I do have pictures AND I look like them. I am also very romantic and passionate about the things I love, and I would eventually like to share this with someone special. I am told I come across much softer in person than in written English, for whatever that is worth.
I am out of a long term relationship that was good but ran it's course. I am not wanting a long distance reationship more than an hour from Columbia or Mexico, MO. I live in Columbia and also have a house in Mexico where I work.
A few questions for you to answer…1. Describe to me the best date of your life and why it was so great? 2. What was your worst date of your life? 3. If you were an ice cream cone, what flavor would you be…one or two scoops? Extra points if you can make me laugh.....
First Date
First dates are always a challenge to find a way to get to know the person but also have fun. I have done first dates at the winery to Chuck-ee Cheese. The most important part of having a good first date is the person you are meeting. Geography is also important, and meeting on some middle ground is always a good idea. If we are geographically seperated, then splitting the distance is a good thing. I am very flexible and can roll with a lot of situations...
