Speaking of fish (were we?), remember that R&B song from 1967 called “Sole Man” by Salmon Dave? [booo….hisss..…okay, no more fish humor…]

Anyway, about me – I’m unpretentious, down-to-earth, upbeat, creative, musical and have a wacky (some call it “wicked”) sense of humor. I consider myself very lucky in that I feel and look younger than my age. And, at 56, I still have the vast majority of my hair. Although I don’t enjoy working out, I still go the gym at least once a week. It’s kind of like housework – I don’t enjoy that either, but it has to be done.

As a hobby, I compose and record music onto my home computer – I’ve got a couple of synthesizers (electronic keyboards to the layperson) and a baby grand piano. (Some of my compositions actually impress my strongest critic – ME!)

Some of my musical tastes include Genesis, Yes, Pink Floyd (I love that 70s “art-rock” stuff. I still like to listen to those “British Invasion” songs from the 60s. The entire Beatles catalog is still one of my faves, although I lean towards the later albums. One of my newest “finds” is a guy named Oren Lavie – great songwriter. I’ll leave it at that, ‘cause my list would go on and on. What I don’t like is speed-metal/Goth music. I don’t like rap and hip-hop stuff – I don’t consider that music...

I think a first date should be something that happens after the first meeting, which should be a casual, conducive-to-conversation place, perhaps accompanied by an adult beverage.
