If you are looking for a decent man that possesses some of the old school ways of life like being decent, respectful, and courteous, you may be reading the right profile. I like to have fun, and try new things [recently I took up Argentine Tango, and also tried to fly a helicopter, glad there was a training pilot there]. I'm not the typical "bad boy", some seem to be looking for. I'm not much of a couch potato, I am usually active. I like to run, bike, and go to the gym (however I am not an exercise fanatic). I like the outdoors. Some things that are enjoyable are sightseeing, going to different places, travel, walking, camping, sitting out in the evening by a fire, and of course the regular things like going out to dinner and a movie (it is also nice to stay in and cook and watch a movie, I like to cook/grill and haven't made anything I couldn't eat). I am industrious at work and home, and enjoy doing home improvement projects. I don't always have to be on the go. Sometimes I like to relax too. I am honest, and reliable and expect the same of others (ok we all forget things from time to time, I am not perfect and therefore am forgiving). I am not looking for anyone negative or that is so hung up on herself (a real turnoff). Just be decent, honest, and genuine. Additionally, if your cellular or PDA is glued to your hand or it runs your life you probably don't have time for another person. I like to be with someone, spend time with her, share ideas, have fun, and more. I am not a grungy man and I do get dressed up to go out at times (I don't mind a shirt and tie, I usually wear that to work, and YES I do have suits). Make no mistake, I do get dirty too. There is so much to do and experience so it requires a person to be multifaceted.
I love my family, and miss being able to see them more frequently [they are mainly in MI]. I respect my parents, and think they are great people. I enjoy the company of my friends, each is special in their own way. I like hanging out and doing different things with them. True friends just have a way of making a person feel good .
There is so much in life and I would like someone to share it with. I am looking for a long term relationship [life long if things go well, but I don't rush things]. I am open to having children, but it would have to be a common decision [after marriage]. I would like to find a wonderful woman to be with. A first date depends on the person and situation. Also, if I write what I would do, it would destroy any chance of your being surprised.
At a minimum it needs to include being able to talk and share time together. This is important to get to find out about each other.
