I spend most week days designing and building custom work in homes throughout the oakland county area. I also have an art background. When I have time I draw portraits for customers. Since I work by myself all week I thought I would give this a try. I get together with friends on the weekends and workout at the gym, but the bars are not the best places to meet people as I'm sure you know. I have great parents and keep in touch with them on a weekly basis. I'm proud to write that my mom and dad have managed not to kill each other over the years. Lol. Just kidding.. They are still happily married. I hope to say the same one day. I grew up on a lake in a small town where people didn't have to worry about locking their doors. People seemed to want to know a little too much of other's personal affairs. Lol. However it was an ideal setting for a great upbringing. My summers growing up were spent on an Island where my grandparents live. Boating, swimming, fishing and getting in as much trouble as possible with my sister and cousins were the things I was most concerned with. Can I please go back to those days! I'm fortunate to write that I had a wonderful childhood. I consider myself to be, respectful, goal oriented, trustworthy, considerate of others feelings, reasonable and I think I am quite handy around the house. ;) I'm independent, but I like to spend time with who I'm dating. In a perfect world my partner/best friend would be, goofy with a good sense of humor, pleasant to be around in the morning :) has the ability to relax now and again and views commitment as something important to her. Giving not with money but with her time. Moral, patient, ethical, has empathy for others, and has good relationship with her family. Someone who does'nt always choose quitting as a solution. I don't think you can identify who you are looking for if you haven't discovered or strived to be these things in yourself. I think healthy communication in a civil manor is an important part of a relationship, so I'm looking for that too. I also think independence is a key to a healthy relationship. If two people can spend time away from each other with their friends, it shows that they trust each other and still have their own personal identity. The ideal occupation my partner would have is irrelevant. My hope would be it is something that she is passionate about and that it inspired her to get up in the morning... I know that's a tough one for some who haven't found what they love to do. If this sounds like you... I would substitute that for just being happy to get up every morning.
