Well, I'm pretty easy to get along with. I'm from a town just outside of Saint John, New Brunswick and have lived in Alberta for about 3 and a half years now.
I'm looking for a relationship, definately not an 'intimate encounter'! I would like to find someone who shares some common interests and is fun to hang out with. Some of the qualities I am looking for are a great sense of humour, someone who appreciates a sarcastic sense of humour, maturity, someone who is trustworthy, and a big one for me is intelligence. Ideally anyone I am with would have a career and goals for their life.
I am a very liberal and open minded person and I love to read books about social issues and politics. In my spare time I like to fish, ride my mountain bike, go to theatre productions and take in all the different festivals that take place in Edmonton throughout the summer. I went to Folk Fest for the first time last year and its now my favorite summer festival in edmonton. As I said earlier I really enjoy reading and some of the books I have recently read include, The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein and Chronicles of Dissent by Noam Chomsky. I am always down for a debate on world issues or politics :) lol!
As far as music goes I'm into all kinds. I like bands ranging from Jam Bands, Punk, Hard Core, and mellow music as well. Some of my favorite bands are Phish, NOFX, and mudvayne. I've recently discovered Flogging Molly and really like their music! I really enjoy watching documentaries and nature shows but I really like Lost, its one of the few shows I make of point of watching every week!
I'm not into the bar scene so much anymore. I don't like the whole dance club thing mostly because I'm not big on dance music or dancing! Every once in a while I'm up for going out to the bars but I am always up for going to a pub for a pint and a chat though.
I am a 3rd year welder with the pipefitters union and I will be starting my final year of school in October. Once I finish I plan on welding for a few years and move on to something else that is related to my trade. Something else I should add is that even though I am in the trades I am not into leaving town for work, I only take jobs in the Edmonton area.
