I may be retired but I haven't slowed down. I keep busy with volunteer work, dancing (swing,contra, ballroom), and working in my garden. I love traveling to the national parks for camping and hiking and take comfort in the beauty and majesty of nature. Friends and family are an important part of my life and I enjoy cooking for them and entertaining. My back porch is a great place for dining, music, and conversation. I like to feed my grey cells, too, so enjoy games(cards, cribbage, BuzzWord, Taboo, Scrabble) and puzzles (sudoku, crosswords, and logic puzzles.)I love many kinds of music, but lean toward blues, R & B, folk, old-time string band, swing, & big band. I also get a kick out of karaoke, but can be shy about getting up on stage.
I would love to meet a man who enjoys some of my interests, but also who will broaden my horizons with his own interests. (I could use some tutoring in sports.)

First dates are a good opportunity for conversation. How about a glass of wine in a quiet corner of a restaurant or a short walk on the riverfront?
